Cook Instant Noodles like a Gourmet Dish

Tired of constant cooking, especially with no help around?

Try my instant noodles recipe!

This is a quick and delicious dish, I make, when I really don’t want to do any elaborate cooking for my family needs some cheering up.

It’s the same old instant noodles, just a bit spruced up. And just because its instant, doesn’t mean it can’t look like one of those fancy curated dishes.

Ingredients:

Serves 1

  1. Instant noodles of your choice – 1 pkt
  2. Boneless fish or boneless chicken or cleaned prawns – 4 to 5 cube size pieces.
  3. Yellow and Red capsicum, diced into big pcs – 1/2 cup
  4. Stir fry sauce – 1 and 1/2 tsp (Add half a tsp more if you like more flavour)
  5. !/2 cup water ( a little more if you like more soup)
  6. 1/4 tbsp oil.
  7. A heavy bottom pan
  8. A frying pan
  9. Egg – 1 (optional- i dint use it as mu kids don’t like egg and noddles together)
Red and Yellow capsicum diced

A small peek into my kitchen cabinet:

In this recipe, I have used Koka Brand Noodles. I love them for the distict flavour they have.
Maggi Noodles taste as good!
‘The stir fry sauce i use from VEEBA, Stir Fry sauce.

Preparation:

Get all the ingredients ready.

In the heavy bottom pan, boil water. Once it starts to boil, add the instant noodles. Let it cook till it’s a little soft, then add the flavouring that comes with the noodles packets.

Let it cook till done. Approximately 5 mins, on low heat. Then keep it aside.

Put the oil in the frying pan, add the capsicum, let it cook for 2 minutes on low heat, then add the fish/chicken/prawn. Add the stir fry sauce. Mix well and let it cook.

Once the stir fry is ready, Its time to serve.

Transfer the cooked noodles in the serving bowl. Add the liquid (soup) too. That does bring in a lot of flavour.

Add the stir fried meat with capsicum on top.

Optional: You can also add a poached egg on the side.

Serve hot with a cold beverage!

Served with iced tea!

Enjoy your gourmet style instant noodles.

Do let me know how you liked it.

lots of love,

Divya.

P.S. All the food pictures are taken by me at home, of food cooked by me at home.
