Fabulous Forever: The Real life Divas..
Women have to work much harder to make it in this world.
I grew up, surrounded by these fabulous women, who held on to their ideas of grace, beauty, style and glamour.
They were born at a time when ‘style’ &’ fashion’ didn’t quite mean the same thing as it does today. It was an era when women were not encouraged to study or work, yet they did it all.
When you have played so many roles in life, of a daughter, wife, mother, aunt, daughter in law, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother……… have faced so many challenging situations, achieved so much, these experiences get absorbed in your style and your attitude.
Style for them is not dressing up on an occasion. It’s how they dress every day, whether it’s to go to work or to visit someone or an evening tea or even for their daily walks;
It’s who they are!
My decision to study fashion was a lot to do with them. I will not say, they were the only reasons, but they definitely influenced my decision, and I dedicate this article to these ‘Ageless Divas’.

Well he couldn’t have put it any better. She proves him right.
My Mother, always so graceful and poised. A successful career woman, a perfect wife and daughter, an ideal daughter in law and I couldn’t have wished for a more loving mother..
She reminds me of Coco Chanel’s word,
“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”
And irreplaceable she certainly is!!

And that’s true of my grandmother.
Her beautiful cotton sarees, her ever changing glasses, her collection of body creams, health care tips and her love for footwear certainly make her the true diva.She doesn’t need any makeup; her smile is all she needs to wear.
The best grandmother and a fabulous great grand mother..

My fabulous aunt, always ready to party, always smiling.
Her endless energy and enthusiasm for life is certainly infectious.
Her clothes and jewellery, we all grew up borrowing. She loved to dress us all.
Truly a phenomenal lady!

So true when it comes to her.
She keeps the family together, keeps the house running, shapes million of students future and is a fabulous grandmother. Never will you see her sit for more than a minute, yet she is always stylish and always beautiful.
I have always associated the word woman with strength.
The women I grew up watching, taught me to be confident and to value myself; they inspired me and made me realize how strong I really was; they nurtured my dreams and taught me never to let go of what I was passionate about; they taught me the value of tradition, hard work and family.
They are strong, they are graceful, and they are the true style icons.
I don’t think they even realise how truly incredible they are. They according to me invented style.
They wear an invisible crown of ‘Ultimate Divas’.
Fashion and style is to be learnt from them.
So, here’s a big salute to my previous generation of women, who framed fashion with their attitude and their rules!
