Waffles for breakfast

Waffles, a breakfast we all love. Now make delicious waffles at home; crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Servings: 6 to 8

Ingredients:

  1. All purpose flower-2 and 1/2 cups
  2. Baking powder-1 teaspoon
  3. Sugar- 3 tablespoons
  4. Cinnamon Powder- 3/4th teaspoon
  5. Salt- 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Milk- 2 cups
  7. Vanilla extract- 1 teaspoon
  8. Eggs separated (yolk A white)- 2 eggs
  9. Vegetable oil- 1/2 cup
  10. oil spray can
  11. powdered sugar- 1/2 cup; 1 teaspoon to be sprinkled on each cooked waffle.
  12. Cut strawberries or blueberries or any berry of your choice- 1/2 cup for each cooked waffle
  13. syrup or date syrup or honey- quantity depends on how much sweet you want

You definitely need a Waffle maker.

Cooking Instructions:

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl- flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon.

Take the 2 egg whites in another bowl and whisk them till stiff peaks begin to form. Keep them aside.

Take the 2 egg yolks in another bowl and mix them with vanilla extract, milk and vegetable oil. Whisk it really well. It should look like a yellow liquid. Add this mixture with the dry ingredient bowl. Again mix well to form a smooth paste.

Now, gently fold in the egg white.

Heat the waffle-maker and spray it with cooking oil.

Once it’s heated, pour adequate amount of batter on it and cook till brown and crispy. Keep checking as the waffle should not burn.

All waffle makers have different heat setting.

Serve immediately, while it’s hot with Syrup, powdered sugar and cut strawberries (berry of your choice).

Please try this recipe and tell me how it tasted.

Happy Breakfast to you!!

P.S. All the food pictures are taken by me at home, of food cooked by me at home.
